Symposium Venue

The Symposium takes place at the Technical University Berlin Campus Gustav-Meyer-Allee (download printable map at bottom of page)

Public Transport (Website of BVG):

Parking: Limited paid parking on site, free parking in the adjacent streets. Using public transport is highly recommended.


On the afternoon of day 2 of the Symposium participants will be brought to the Test Site Technical Safety of BAM. Demonstrations of NDT equipment will take place there and there will also be the conference dinner. This site is located 50 km south of Berlin. No access by private car will be granted, transfer will be provided by buses from the TUB and back to the city center.


The BAM main campus is located in Berlin Lichterfelde. For directions please donwload directions from BAM website.
Pre- and Post-Symposium Workshops take place there.


Berlin has excellent public transport with 24/7 service (download map at bottom of this page). Visitors are advised to buy a 7-Day-Ticket Berlin AB (or ABC to include Potsdam)   on arrival (e.g. at the BVG booth at the airport). Berlin Airports (TXL and SXF) have convenient public transport access to the city center.
There is no need for a rental car for transport inside the city. At the Symposium venue no parking on site but limited free parking is available in the vicinity.  


For hotel accomodation please visit the Berlin Tourist Info. Choose a hotel close to Subway line U8 or S-Bahn lines S1, S2 or S25 to avoid transfers between trains while commuting to the Symposium
